We had a great time today at the Drung harvest all age celebration. Thank-you very much to those who decorated the church so beautifully and to those who helped with the tea. You can listen to Jamie’s all age talk at the link above and read Psalm 67 here.
A wonderful conker display at the font!
What tragic news to wake up to this morning, yet another terror attack. We were looking at Psalm 6 this morning at church, what a helpful Psalm as we learn from David to take our agony to God and discover his steadfast love in the midst of the trials. You can read Psalm 6 here and listen to the sermon at the link below:
How should we respond to the tragic attack in Manchester. King David was a man acquainted with grief, he knew the pain of losing children, Psalm 5 gives us a helpful response that involves a God to groan to, a God who will destroy evil, and a God who is a safe haven. Listen at the link below and you can read Psalm 5 here and the gospel reading from Matthew 6 here.
Where do you turn for comfort in the evening? What if there are people you're dreading seeing the next day? What if people are saying unkind things about you? Read about King David's experience in Psalm 4 (our Gospel reading was from Matthew 12:22-37) and listen to this morning's sermon at the link above.
Where do you turn? Chocolate? Friends? Cup of tea? Something Stronger? Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and smile smile smile? Is there another way, read Psalm 3 here and listen to the recording at the link above.
